Ear Surgeries We Perform

Tympanoplasty (eardrum repair) - This procedure involves reconstructing the eardrum using a graft from under the skin.


Tympanostomy (ear tube placement) - Ear tubes are placed into the eardrum using a microscope. The tubes naturally move out of the eardrum in 6 to 9 months and the incision heals with no effect on the eardrum. 


Stapedectomy (hearing bone replacement) - A small incision is made in the ear canal or just behind the ear and the stapes bone is replaced with an implant to restore normal hearing.


Mastoidectomy (infection of the mastoid cells) - Mastoid surgery, or mastoidectomy, involves drilling a hole in the mastoid bone and removing any infected air cells.
